Our sins are forgiven!
đ Daily Prayer: "May every child of God know now, that he is clean through the washing of the blood. Oh, that we might be certain that no guilt is recorded against us now."

Daily Newsletter from SpurgeonBooks
This week, our prayers and Scripture readings each day will focus on the forgiveness of sins. Over the next five days, we will praise God for his grace and ask him to continue to give it. Next week, weâll highlight a different theme. Invite a friend to pray with you by sending them this link.
DAILY PRAYER (BY SPURGEON)
We would confess our many sins, with great self-abhorrence and hatred of them. The Lord be pleased to forgive his servants in this thing, and let us each this morning feel the application of the precious âblood of Jesus which speaks better things than that of Abelâ (Hebrews 12:24).
May every child of God know now, that he is clean through the washing of the blood. Oh, that we might be certain that no guilt is recorded against us now, for it is blotted out forever and the record is destroyed. Being justified by faith may we have peace, deep, lasting peace with God, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
VERSE OF THE DAY (COMMENTARY BY SPURGEON)
âIf we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.â (1 John 1:7)
If guilt returns, his power may be proved again and again. There is no fear that all my daily slips and shortcomings will not be graciously removed by this precious blood.
NOTE FROM THE EDITOR
As we prepare to spend this week focusing on the forgiveness of sins, I wanted to remind you that we are confident in the forgiveness of our sins, because we are confident in Godâs character.
In Malachi 3:6, God says, âBecause I, the Lord, have not changed, you descendants of Jacob have not been destroyed.â God will never change. This is our great hope.
He will never run out of grace to help us in our sin.
He will never run out of patience to help us in our weakness.
He will never run out of power to help us in our preaching.
He will never run out of compassion to help us in our suffering.
Again â God will never change. This is our only hope.
This is what Christianity is about â itâs not about us getting our acts together and working our way to God, itâs about confessing our complete and total need of him.
So donât be ashamed to admit your neediness and beg God for help each morning.
Because, no matter how strong you feel, you really need him.
There will never be a second of our lives that we arenât completely dependent on the God of every grace. And because of Christâs death and resurrection, there will never be a second of our lives that we arenât held by the God of every grace.
