DAILY PRAYER (BY SPURGEON)
Dear Savior, wash us, but do not only take away the guilt of sin; take away its power too so that from now on we may treat you better; that holiness, true reverence, and hearty loyalty may be our service all our days. You, who did hang naked on the cross, we pray, we beg, take our whole body, soul, and spirit, and dwell in it and reign over it, and get glory from it, while we live and when we die, and when we rise again, and to eternity.
Amen.
VERSE OF THE DAY (COMMENTARY BY SPURGEON)
“Adopt the same attitude as that of Christ Jesus… he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death— even to death on a cross.” (Philippians 2:5, 8)
Paul wishes to unite the saints in Philippi in the holy bands of love. To do this, he takes them to the cross. In the cross there is a cure for every spiritual disease. There is food for every spiritual virtue in the Savior. We never go to him too often.
PRAY FOR THE NATIONS
This week, we’re praying for the Tai Khang of China and Laos.
The Tai Khang live in a beautiful place, surrounded by mountains, valleys and streams. It has a subtropical, spring-like climate year round. They enjoy wonderful blessings from creation, but have never given thanks to the Creator.
Pray that the Tai Khang would hear about the one true God for the first time.

A gospel-saturated lifeline for betrayed wives?*
The good news of Jesus offers hope, even in the darkest moments of our lives. He is a redeemer who makes beauty out of our worst brokenness.
There are few things I can imagine that are as painful as navigating sexual betrayal within marriage, but even here, Jesus is at work. He cares for you.
Harvest USA has put together a powerful video course — Hope in Your Heartbreak — is a compassionate guide to help wives surviving the pain of any kind of sexual betrayal (whether adultery, pornography, or anything else) by clinging to the Rock of Ages.
If you are a wife hurting from sexual betrayal, sign up for this free, anonymous online course now. Other women should consider signing up too, to be better equipped to care with God’s compassion for the hurting women you may meet in the future.
