DAILY PRAYER (BY SPURGEON)
Many days have passed since first we knew the grace of God and many changes we have seen, but we have never lost our hold on Christ; nor has he ever lost his hold of us; and here we are still, to weep to the praise of the mercy that we have found, and to tell others, as we have breath to speak, that the Lord is a great sin-pardoning God.
There is none like him, passing by transgression, iniquity, and sin; and, for Jesus’ sake, receiving the vilest of the vile to his bosom and casting out none that comes to him; taking up even the blasphemer and the drunkard, yes, the very worst, and washing even these from their crimson sins, and making them whiter than newly-fallen snow. Oh Lord, we sometimes wish that we could sing like cherubim and seraphim. Then would we praise you better. But as it is, human voices are all we have, but they shall be used to the praise of “free grace and dying love,” to which we owe all that we have, and all we ever hope to have.
Amen.
VERSE OF THE DAY (COMMENTARY BY SPURGEON)
“Neither is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives everyone life and breath and all things.” (Acts 17:25)
What can he need who is owner of all things and able to create as he wills? Thus overwhelmingly does the Lord pour forth his arguments upon formalists.
PRAY FOR THE NATIONS
This week, we’re praying for the Balti of Pakistan.
The Balti live in territory claimed by both India and Pakistan. The region is closed to foreign travelers, preventing missionaries from accessing it.
Pray that the conflict between India and Pakistan would end so that the gospel is able to spread freely.

A Fun Book to Help Kids Explore the Bible
My family loves the Seek and Find Bible stories series from The Good Book Company. The Old Testament and New Testament books have been a really great part of our family’s library. Perfect for long car rides or quiet time, plus I’ve found they inspire conversation throughout the day about the Bible scenes depicted on each page. My five-year-old loves these books because (unlike a lot of seek-and-find style books), these books don’t require any reading.
I was thankful to receive a copy of the newest book in this series, Seek and Find: More Old Testament Bible Stories, and it does not disappoint! It maintains everything that has made this series great. I love this series and I can’t wait to hear about how God uses it in your home.
