DAILY PRAYER (BY SPURGEON)

Our heart goes far beyond any other request, “Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven; for yours is the kingdom, and the power and the glory, forever and ever.”

“Come, Lord Jesus, come quickly.” All things are in your hand, come quickly; the cries of your people persuade you, “the Spirit and the bride say, come,” make no tarrying our Redeemer.

To the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, the God of Abraham and God of our Lord Jesus Christ be glory forever and ever.

Amen.

VERSE OF THE DAY (COMMENTARY BY SPURGEON)

“For the sake of your servant David, do not reject your anointed one.” (Psalm 132:10)

King Solomon was praying and here the people pray for him that his face may not be turned away or that he may not be refused an audience. It is a dreadful thing to have our face turned away from God or to have his face turned away from us. If we are anointed of the Spirit the Lord will look upon us with favor. This is especially true of him who represents us, and is on our behalf the Christ—the truly anointed of the Lord.

College can be a great time for any student to deepen their faith and their walk with Jesus, and I think Spurgeon College in Kansas City, MO is a great place to do it.

Spurgeon College (named after Charles Spurgeon) exists “For the Kingdom.”

No matter what a student is studying, they will be given a vision to give their college years — and the rest of their lives — to God’s purposes.

If you’re looking at Christian colleges now (for yourself or someone else), this is the perfect time to check out Spurgeon College.

This month (They’re calling it Spurgeon College Month 🎉), SC is giving away some great prizes to lucky winners who apply (or even just request more information!)

If you want more information, this is a great time to ask — enter to win a College Starter Kit (including an iPad and $1,000 scholarship) and get more info.
