Help us love the truth
🛐 Daily Prayer: "Let us not get to be busy here and there with Martha and forget to sit at your feet with Mary."

DAILY PRAYER (BY SPURGEON)
Once more we pray that you would bless your church. Lord, quicken the spiritual life of believers. You have allowed us to have a great impact, for which we thank you. May that impact be supported by a corresponding inner life. Let us not get to be busy here and there with Martha and forget to sit at your feet with Mary.
Lord, restore to your church the love of strong doctrine. May your truth still prevail. Purge out from among your church those who would lead others away from the truth in Jesus. Give back the old power and something more. Give us Pentecost; yes, many Pentecosts in one, and may we live to see your church shine forth as clear as the sun and as fair as the moon.
Amen.
VERSE OF THE DAY (COMMENTARY BY SPURGEON)
“… not that there is another gospel, but there are some who are troubling you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.” (Galatians 1:7)
There are not two gospels any more than there are two Gods. There is one only message from God, full of good news for people. If you turn away from that, you turn away to a falsehood, to that which will bring you trouble, to that which will pervert you and lead you astray.
PRAY FOR THE NATIONS
This week, we’re praying for the Amat in India.
The Amat are Hindu, mainly worshiping two gods. They need to know the truth of God.
Pray for clear gospel proclamation among the Amat.
RECOMMENDED RESOURCE
A new series of books for every ministry leader*
Whether you’re preparing a sermon, a small group session, or any other kind of ministry, I can promise you ONE thing: people need to see Jesus. And YOU, the leaders whom God has placed in their lives, have a responsibility to show him to them.
We should aim to never speak from God’s Word without landing the plane on Christ. Any other foundation is made of sinking sand.
The Spurgeon Commentary series will help you make every sermon or lesson all about Jesus. These books (verse-by-verse commentaries on full Bible books, drawn from Spurgeon’s greatest teachings) will help you see Christ in every text and apply his greatness to the real situations that people face.
Seven volumes are available now:
1 John
1–2 Peter & Jude
2 Thessalonians, 2 Timothy, and Titus
Philippians
Galatians
(NEW!) Song of Solomon and Jonah
(If you’re going to teach or lead anyone through one of these books in 2026, then PLEASE grab a copy of the Spurgeon Commentary today!)
You can find the whole series here. I can’t wait to hear about how it blesses you!
