DAILY PRAYER (BY SPURGEON)

Lord get us up above the world. Come, Holy Spirit, heavenly Dove, rise up and bear us on your wings, far from these inferior sorrows and inferior joys, up where eternal ages roll. May we ascend in joyful contemplation and may our spirit come back again, strong for all its service, armed for all its battles, armored for all its dangers, and made ready to live heaven on earth, until we will eventually live in heaven.

Great Father, be with your waiting people, greatly help any who are in great trouble; sweetly comfort and encourage any who are despondent; bring any who have erred and are suffering under their own sin back and heal their wounds; give the desire of their hearts to any who are panting after holiness today; and lead any who are longing for usefulness into places where they can serve you.

Amen.

VERSE OF THE DAY (COMMENTARY BY SPURGEON)

“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.” (Matthew 25:31)

The great white throne shall be set on high, all pure and lustrous, bright and clear as a polished mirror, in which every man shall see himself and his sins reflected; and on that throne shall sit “the Son of man.” Behind the Kingly Judge, “all the holy angels” shall be ranged, rank on rank, an innumerable and glorious body-guard, to grace the court of their enthroned Lord on the day of the last great assize; and, at his bidding, to remove from his presence all whom he shall condemn.

The Bible has never been translated into the Harzani language. How can they hear the words of life?

Pray that faithful Bible translators would bring the Bible to the Harzani.
