DAILY PRAYER (BY SPURGEON)
God, most high and glorious, the thought of your infinite serenity has often encouraged us; for we are toiling and moiling, troubled and distressed here below beneath the moon; but you sit forever in perfect happiness. Your plans cause you no worry or fear; for you will surely carry them out. Your purposes stand as fast as the eternal hills, your power knows no bound, your goodness no stint. You bring order out of confusion, and our defeats are your victories.
Amen.
VERSE OF THE DAY (COMMENTARY BY SPURGEON)
“I am able to do all things through him who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)
Paul here meant that he could endure all trials. It matters not what suffering his persecutors might put upon him, he felt that he was quite able, through divine grace, to bear it. He daily expected that he might be led out to die, and the daily expectation of death is bitterer than death itself. He was ready to be offered up, and made a sacrifice for his Master’s cause. Every child of God, by faith, may say, “I am able to do all things.”
PRAY FOR THE NATIONS
This week, we’re praying for the Kluet of Indonesia.
The Kluets’ language is only spoken in Indonesia. The Bible has not been translated into this language.
Pray that God’s Word would be brought to the Kluet.

LAST WORD FROM SPURGEON
“God does not need your strength; he has more than enough on his own. He asks your weakness, he has none of that.” — Charles Spurgeon
