Daily Newsletter from SpurgeonBooks
Thanks for praying with us this week. Weāll be back on Monday.
This week, the newsletter focused on our breath. Read all the newsletters here.
Next week, weāll focus on another theme.
If this newsletter is a blessing to you, share it with a friend by sending them this link.
DAILY PRAYER (BY SPURGEON)
We would confess our many sins, with great self-abhorrence and hatred of them. The Lord be pleased to forgive his servants in this thing, and let us each this morning feel the application of the precious āblood of Jesus which speaks better things than that of Abelā (Hebrews 12:24).
May every child of God know now, that he is clean through the washing of the blood. Oh, that we might be certain that no guilt is recorded against us now, for it is blotted out forever and the record is destroyed. Being justified by faith may we have peace, deep, lasting peace with God, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
VERSE OF THE DAY (COMMENTARY BY SPURGEON)
āIf we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.ā (1 John 1:7)
If guilt returns, his power may be proved again and again. There is no fear that all my daily slips and shortcomings will not be graciously removed by this precious blood.
PRAY FOR THE NATIONS
This week weāre praying for the Baheng of China.
This traditional people group worships their ancestors and trusts the dead to keep them safe. There are zero Christians among them. They will never hear the gospel unless someone from the outside brings it to them.
Pray that God would send missionaries to the Baheng.
RECOMMENDED RESOURCE
A Unique Bible Study for Women*
Letās face it: a lot of resources on sexual sin and purity for women areā¦ not great.
But my friends at Harvest USA have put together a valuable resource for women struggling with sexual sin or discipling someone who is.
This study is unique for three reasons:
It is solid, biblical counsel from beginning to end (there is no fluff or condescending illustrations.)
It actually encourages honesty about sexual sin (this isnāt an issue for guys only.)
It will point you to the biblical model for REAL change (not just behavior modification and internet filters)
You can go through this study alone, one-on-one, or with a small group of women. I canāt wait to hear about how he uses this free Bible study to help you along your journey.
