DAILY PRAYER (BY SPURGEON)
We bless you, Divine Son of God, co-equal and co-eternal with the Father, that you did not refuse to be born of the Virgin, and that, being found in fashion like a man, you did not refuse to be obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Let your brows be surrounded with something better than thorns; let the eternal diadem forever glitter there. You were slain and have redeemed us to God by your blood; unto you be glory, and honor, and power, and majesty, and dominion, and might, forever and ever!
Amen.
VERSE OF THE DAY (COMMENTARY BY SPURGEON)
āSee, we count as blessed those who have endured. You have heard of Jobās endurance and have seen the outcome that the Lord brought aboutāthe Lord is compassionate and merciful.ā (James 5:11)
Let us not be persuaded by man or devil to think ill of our God. He has a fatherās heart even when he makes us feel the strokes of his hand. Our God cannot be unkind to us; he cannot forsake us. If we would see his goodness and his justice blended, we must look at the Son of God on the cross, dying in our place. Let us not doubt the tenderness of him who gave his one and only Son.
PRAY FOR THE NATIONS
This week, weāre praying for the Tai Khang of China and Laos.
The Tai Khang are almost entirely Buddhist, but, like most Buddhists today, also believe in many spirits which must be pleased with offerings in order to bring good fortune.
Pray that the Tai Khang would hear about Jesus, who cast out demons with power.

Study the BIble with Spurgeon*
For years, Iāve been thankful for the Spurgeon Commentary series from Lexham Press (The volume on Galatians was actually one of the first commentaries I ever bought when I was new in ministry!)
Iām thankful that this series is continuing (with a new volume on the Song of Songs and Jonah) and getting a refreshed design. This really is an incredible series that will serve you in personal study AND ministry.
Hereās what to look forward to in these books:
Writings and sermons arranged as a phrase-by-phrase commentary
Written illustrations to help you understand and apply key concepts (These are sprinkled throughout the book)
Application ideas for every section
(All of this content is taken from Spurgeonās own writings)
Every volume is more than 150 pages, and the Hebrews volume is an epic 520 pages!!
Iām sure you can see how valuable these books are. Plus, this new design will look incredible on your shelf.
LAST WORD FROM SPURGEON
āI have to lie humbly at the foot of Christ's cross and marvel that I am saved at all.ā ā Charles Spurgeon
