DAILY PRAYER (BY SPURGEON)
Forgive us our trespasses. Lord, our chief desire this morning before you is to be right with you. Make us right with you, great Father. Grant the kiss of forgiveness to each of your children this morning, and may we feel that you are faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness; and in the joy of this, may we feel peace with you.
Amen.
VERSE OF THE DAY (COMMENTARY BY SPURGEON)
“And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.” (Matthew 6:12)
No prayer of mortal men could be complete without confession of sin. Prayer which does not seek for pardon will fail, as the Pharisee’s prayer did. Let proud men boast as they please, those who are in Christ’s kingdom will always pray, “Forgive us our debts.” Our Lord knew that we should always have debts to own, and therefore would always need to cry, “Forgive!”
PRAY FOR THE NATIONS
This week, we’re praying for the Ainu of China.
The Ainu are hated by other ethnic groups in their area. The good news of God’s unconditional love may be extremely good news to them, if only someone would bring it to them.
Pray that the Ainu would hear that God has loved them.

A gospel-saturated lifeline for betrayed wives?*
The good news of Jesus offers hope, even in the darkest moments of our lives. He is a redeemer who makes beauty out of our worst brokenness.
There are few things I can imagine that are as painful as navigating sexual betrayal within marriage, but even here, Jesus is at work. He cares for you.
Harvest USA has put together a powerful video course — Hope in Your Heartbreak — is a compassionate guide to help wives surviving the pain of any kind of sexual betrayal (whether adultery, pornography, or anything else) by clinging to the Rock of Ages.
If you are a wife hurting from sexual betrayal, sign up for this free, anonymous online course now. Other women should consider signing up too, to be better equipped to care with God’s compassion for the hurting women you may meet in the future.
LAST WORD FROM SPURGEON
